The New Flamingo Marina in Guanacaste
As of this update (March – 2017) after years of anticipation and persistence by the development group, the most exciting thing to happen to the Flamingo Beach area of Guanacaste in decades is about come fruition. The construction of the first full service Marina in Playa Flamingo should begin sometime later this summer. The new Marina at Playa Flamingo, Costa Rica, will be a huge boost for the local Guanacaste economy, and an excellent opportunity for boat owners who love the rich fishing and play grounds of the northern coast of Costa Rica.
Projected to be home to 211 slips accommodating yachts up to 110′, a boutique hotel and space for Marina-front bungalows, the Flamingo Marina is a much-needed addition to this popular area of Guanacaste, Costa Rica.
The American Marina Company is slated to build the marina and once completed, look for the Flamingo and Tamarindo area of Guanacaste to see a boom in visitors, real estate prices and real estate transactions. The upcoming real estate boom in Flamingo brought on by the presence of the new marina is a forgone conclusion as most boat-owners will be following the model of real estate success at Los Suenos to the south. That is an easy prediction based around the fact that marinas, yachts and their wealthy owners bring big dollars into local economies.
Ed Podolack the former NFL great for the Kansas City Chiefs is getting ahead of the game by getting close to completing his luxury community in Flamingo – 360 Splendor del Pacifico Residences. Podolack’s luxury condos are perched on the hill over-looking the new marina and all of the Playa Flamingo, Petrero and beyond. His project definitely some of the most spectacular views in the entire country.
Look for updates on the Flamingo Marina project and the impending real estate boom to follow.
